PrintFor those who don't know, Metropolitan State College of Denver has a men's ice hockey team which competes in the ACHA (American Collegiate Hockey Association) Division ll. The Roadrunners season consists of 35 games against other colleges throughout the west and mid-west. The team is student ran and paid for by the players. So we have teamed up with the Pepsi Center and are competing in the Rocky Mountain Center Ice Showdown this coming Friday, October 29th. We need your help with our fundraiser, we are selling tickets to the game for only $20 (details below).

Friday, October 29 · 3:00pm - 5:00pm

Come support the Metro State hockey team at the Pepsi Center as we play the DU Pioneers. Tickets to our game are $20 and they include a ticket to an Colorado Avalanche game of your choice, (there are four dates you can choose from). We want/need as much support as we can get! EVEN IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND OUR GAME, PLEASE STILL SUPPORT US AND GET A CHEAP AVS TICKET! Again only $20 for our game and a Avs game is a deal unheard of and cannot be beaten.
Avalanche games to choose from:
* Colorado Avalanche vs. St. Louis Blues (November 15th at 6pm)
* Colorado Avalanche vs. Ottawa Senators (December 17th at 7pm)
* Colorado Avalanche vs. Calgary Flames (February 14th at 8pm)
* Colorado Avalanche vs. Anaheim Ducks (March 11th at 7pm)

$20 Tickets Include:
* Lower Level ticket for all the club games on October 29, 2010
* Colorado Avalanche Upper Level ticket, a $42-$58 value to the game of your choice
* Free Parking for the game on Oct. 29
* Additional $20 seats will be available for all available Avs games up until each game date
(No Additional tax or fees)
Each Ticket option comes with a Club Hockey ticket good for all games on October 29 and an Avalanche ticket to the game of your choice (PLEASE REMEMBER TO SELECT THE METRO DROP DOWN MENU WHEN ORDERING YOUR TICKETS TO CONTRIBUTE TO OUR FUND-RAISING.)

I am a Metro State Alumni.
Where is this game at? Is it at DU or on campus (didn’t know Auraria had an ice rink if thats the case)? And is it really a FREE ticket for the Avs?

Now that I have re-read the title I see it’s tickets at half price for the Avs though the body of the post makes it seem like they are included. For example.

The way I read it,
For 20.00 you get a ticket to all 4 college hockey games on the 29th and also a ticket to one of the 4 Avs games listed.

Yeah,
I just went through the ticket purchasing process just to see.
The total price is 20.00. no taxes or fees.
So, for example, Rich and I and my parents want to go to the game on Valentine’s day against the Flames.
Using this deal we can get 4 tickets for 80.00. If we choose not to go to the college game next week, thats cool too.
Tickethorse actually breaks it down into 5.00 for the college game and 15.00 for the Avs. A Damn good price for upper level center ice.
The tickets it offered me at best avail were section 302 row 10.
I didn’t actually buy them, but I might ;)

Sweet, I played for metro in 01-02
I believe that was the year after the team decided to skip a trip to Cali for a tourney and took all their fund raiser money and went to Vegas instead.
Definitely have to support the team on this one!
