Resurrecting NSFW (Not Safe For Work)

After recently posting a pic of a female Flames fan with, shall we say, creative fashion sense, I got to thinking that maybe it wasn't the smartest of moves.  After all, I wasn't really comfortable checking my own FanPost at work after I had done it because the pic was definitely NSFW.  I remembered how we used to use that designation all the time so that folks didn't get blindsided by pictures that they didn't want or couldn't have popping up on their screens at their jobs.  So I'm proposing that we start using this again.

In comments where you want to post something that may not be fully appropriate in a work environment, let's link to it rather than embed, and then label it NSFW and why it's NSFW (some of us can still do audio via headphones).  That way, those who want to and/or can check it out are free to do so and the brilliant commentary of the poster stays intact.  At the same time, those who need to avoid images like that will be able to do so without losing out on the rest of the conversation.  Deal?

The question then becomes, "What is NSFW?"  We've gone round and round on this before.  My basic thoughts are that the following should get a NSFW designation:

  • pictures/video of scantily clad men or women
  • sexually based pictures/video
  • drug based pictures/video
  • video/audio with profane language (maybe label it if it's very mild or extreme?)
  • Red Wing based pictures  PRO Red Wing based pictures You shouldn't even be looking at pro Red Wing pictures, fool

I don't want a huge list as it can become one of those ridiculous, overly PC things. That said, if there's something you strongly feel should be added to our NSFW list, let your voice be heard!
