Paul Andrews Leaving Kroenke Sports Enterprises
Executive VP Paul Andrews has resigned effective October 27 to take over as President and Chief Executive of the National Western Stock Show. He'll start working for NWSS on Nov. 1. Best of luck to him (and for the sake of the Stock Show, I hope he doesn't take any Avs/Nuggets marketers with him).

What is this "Stock Show" of which you speak???
(and for thesake of the Stock Show, I hope he doesn’t take any Avs/Nuggets marketers with him).
Dear God! It’s started already!

Full disclosure
I’m an avid supporter of NWSS. I’ve coordinated one of their landmark displays the past 2 years, and I’m an ag kid. One thing we definitely don’t need in agriculture is poor marketers. One moron makes a comment concerning something he knows nothing about on Oprah (BSE, for instance), and it causes a huge hit to ranchers, even though it is completely false. Yet, when someone talks about all the great things that go on in farms and ranches, people accuse them of lying.
So yeah, I’d rather not have the KSE marketing staff running the advertising for NWSS.
There's a place out west where the Powder River rolls off the Bighorn Mountains and winds its way out across the plains. It's a land of red walls, blue sky, and clean air, where the eagle glides high above the canyons and makes its nest in the rocks that overlook the valleys where the sagebrush and cottonwoods grow. This is ranch country - has been for more than a hundred years.
Well, things have changed some since the early days, but there's still a thread of character and tradition that runs true from one generation to the next. You can see it in the way folks out here set a horse; you can hear it in the way they talk. And when the work's all done, there's nothing they like better than to get together at the one room schoolhouse under the red wall for another down home, homegrown, Western Saturday night.
Calm down Francis.
I was trying to lighten the mood a bit.
As a kid who grew up on a(n admittedly tiny) ranch til we moved to town for high school, I know exactly what you’re talking about. NWSS needs Avs marketing like the Cattlemen’s Association needs PETA as a marketing vehicle.

Think it's a case of Josh putting his own stamp on things?
Finally, I wanna thank God, because God gave me this Dundie. And I feel God in this Chili's tonight.
