At first I was going to check the "burned it" one, but then I thought; Is that logistically sound? Where do you find a bonfire nowadays? Sure, you could burn it in your neighbors fireplace, but is that really proving anything? It makes more sense to sell

I still wear my Avs Blake jersey with pride. Of course it is the only avs jersey I have, so that may have something to do with it too.

I would’ve bought it at $20…except I get all my jerseys signed and I’ve had Blake sign a jersey before and he was a TOTAL DICK about it. Thus, I wouldn’t have taken it if free. =)

A couple of months ago someone thought it was a good idea to replace the Blake patch with a Liles, but at the time I thought “Who the hell would wear a JML jersey?”.

I should put the JML patch on it and then sell the damn thing….

I could not vote. But if it was a Blake Av jersey, and I’m assuming it was, you can’t burn it. Isn’t that like burning the American flag or something?

What I would do is stitch on an “FU” before “BLAKE” on the back. Then you could wear it again with pride.

My fantasy hockey team sucks. But at least I'm not a Red Wing sellout.

I think the first two choices are best Blake did a lot of good for this club, but if you don’t like him anymore, by all means get rid of it. My choice if I were ever to buy a sweater would be no name, making it “all about the A”

Contrary opinion here.

Blake was great and classy for a long time. Obviously, he gave that up last season, but I’m going to wipe the slate clean because he gave the game up when he could no longer play the way he had played before.

Could you guys stop hating him now. There have been other players to injure players on the Avs. He wasn’t the only one and he obviously didn’t do it intentionally. Blake was a better Av than Mueller will ever be and he is a classy guy so does everyone have to treat him like he is Todd Bertuzzi?

he’s not todd bertuzzi. he did a crappy thing, and we’re pissed at him for it, but i don’t think anyone here has Blake remotely close to Bertuzzi, Maltby, etc.

I don’t think it would be right to give him a free pass on a dirty play either, just because he was a mostly classy player here.

Terrible logic usually employed by those defending Bertuzzi because he was going to have a better career than Mueller. Reasoning like that just makes me hate Blake more.

I’m not defending Bertuzzi at all. All I am saying is everyone is acting like he did something as bad as that when what he did was unintentional and he help win the Avs a cup (which Mueller is yet to come even close to). There have been other players to injure Avs before. This wasn’t the first time it ever happened.

1) Blake was good enough that he didn’t need to take the shot on Mueller. No way it was unintentional. He was better than that.

2) It’s all about the cheap hit and not about what Blake did for the Avs in the past. It’s also not about other hits on Avs players.

3) Let’s hope that Mueller gets a chance to show his talent. We got a brief glance of Peter’s potential until Blake made that bad decision.

Was that you selling it on craigslist? I was looking to get a new Jersey to wear…and I saw a cheap Blake jersey…considered it for a second, but then I got scared the jersey might give me a concussion. Anyway, I think twenty dollars is a litle cheap for the jersey…

Dude who bought it apparently was named Blake. His last name, though I guess he could have been Blake Blake, but that’s not the point.
