Some of us have bought tickets through this offer. So far section 312 still looks pretty good. these tix are $45.00 each. $10.00 of that is a donation to the Avalanche Guild and there are no other fees. Don't forget, thats for 2 games!
Please post here if my list needs to be updated or you have any suggestions for a pre-game meet up.

heh, she wouldn’t want to head up early if she is up for going.. hell, she’ll be… almost 7 months pregnant by that time, and probably won’t want to sit that high up for that long (which is why i took my mom to her first game against the rangers)

Yeah,
The Avs offered the Avsguild the 2 for 1 deal instead of the other one they’ve been getting for games this year so thats what we have available. We’re looking at upper level seats and at least a few of us are thinking of grabbing tix to the next Tues. the 9th we’re playing the nucks that night.

Depends on how you look at it.
$50 for one game would be a lot. If you consider the fact that you get another March game free and spread it over two games, $25 per isn’t too bad. All depends on whether or not you want/need/can make it to the 2nd game I suppose.

OK, so how do we work the logistics of this?
I have a handshake deal to sell my ticket, so I’m in for a single upper deck ticket, but I’d like to get this nailed down ASAP. I just don’t want to get caught w/o a ticket for this one.

I have been e-mailing Justin at theavalancheguild. He is going to check with his ticket rep and see if there is another way to do it. but for now, he’s gonna check for any sections that are pretty wide open and suggest that we all just buy our tickets in that section as soon as we can. I think we can check this on the tickethorse site ourselvs also, but he was going to get back to me tonight or tomorrow.
I was looking at it and it looks like when you are purchasing your mar 1st tickets, it prompts you to choose another game that same month as long as you followed the link from the avalancheguild flyer to get there.
most of my group is looking at making the Tues Mar 9th Vancouver game our second game, so if anyone is interested in re-creating some of this madness the next week it would be fun to do it again.
I am not sure if the second game is the exact same seats, I have been unable to get an answer on that one. But I assume unless that seat is already filled it would just make sense.
So, thats what I know for now.
I’m sure Justin will get back with me soon.

I also, just did a dry run through the purchasing process and it assigned me seats in the same section but a different row for the second game. this was on a selsect best available option, it probably gives you the choice to choose comparable seats by seat number if you choose that option.

My only question would be whether Brooklyn’s could scope us out a side room like Old C’s did. That would be nice and almost required since most of us don’t know each other in the real world.

I’ve never been to Brooklyn’s So I’m not familiar with their layout. But, if they are as busy on game nights as I’m hearing that they are that might be difficult. Justin suggested it because that’s where they send their teams that play in the after hours games and he said he could get us the same discount they get. But 10% might not be worth facing the crowd.

Five of my friends and I went to Brooklyn’s before the Rangers game. It wasn’t packed like ya might think with the Rangers in town, but every table was full.
I’d prefer Old C’s anyway cause I think I may have thrown up off Brooklyn’s front porch thingie just as we were leaving.
I’m pretty sure it wasn’t because of the two beers I had at the game or the flask of Crown I snuck in, or the washington apples we had at Brooklyn’s before and after the game.
Nope, I’m blaming that one on all the negative energy those NY fans were radiating all night, catalyzed by all of my friends smoking right next to me.
Oh, and possibly all that drinking I did, holy crap! Guess I’m not 25 anymore.

Brooklyn’s is ALWAYS ridiculously crowded. I’ve always had trouble getting a seat even when there’s just been 3 of us. 10% is not worth it IMHO. Besides, they’re more expensive than Old Chicago anyway…

I still need tix, but it’s me +1. I’m trying to work a buddy who was the executive chef at Pepsi Center up until last year. That would be ideal; ALL ACCESS and free! But since this is probably one of the only games likely to sell out, we’ll see what happens. I got the night off so I’ll definately be there! GO AVS! RED WINGS SUCK!

Besides all of the obvious stuff?
I know the two people I’m going to be sitting next to. This is so super rare when I got to sporting events that I actually know the people I’m sitting next to that I can finally not be worried “Oh god, what if I end up next to a group of church kids and I can’t…you know, be me?”. Not going to be a problem this time around.

Nah, his GF is an Avs fan and if she wants to get in on this he comes along, He gets that his team sucks this year and fully expects them to lose miserably, besides, hes totally one of those super quiet, nurse his beer kind of guys. And he says he almost got tossed off the upper blacony at The Can back in the blood feud days. I think he’d manage to at least be good spirited about it.
