Stick tap to Jay Vean from Avs Hockey Podcast for pointing this out. Porter has been recalled. He wore #23 for Phoenix; I believe that one's already taken.

Soooo…. this obviously means that Tucker’s sickness (sucking) has finally led to him being benched a scratch, right? Right??

Forever grateful that Joe Sakic isn't a douche bag like Brett Favre.

Of course, Dater’s latest blog would completely negate my dreams of a Tucker-less team. Sigh…

I think Mcleod may be the next one on a hot seat. What’s with the pict? I know you’re not a lames fan.

I bet he's got more trophies than the pope and Wayne Gretzky combined!

More like crashing and burning, but I dont really think that applies here either…

Thanks Joe...

I never thought of associating my profile pic with the flames, actually. It’s just a picture I took once that I liked. I dunno.

Can no one take 69? I would find that halariously juvinal and perhaps have to buy the jersey even if that player turned out to be a scrub.

I bet he's got more trophies than the pope and Wayne Gretzky combined!

I REALLY hope he makes an impact and can earn a spot. One of my favorite… no, pretty much my favorite player to ever wear the winged helmet!

This could get very, very interesting. It could also get very, very scary going into the playoff stretch. I’m hoping for very, very awesome.

Would he be in instead of Durno/ Stoa?

by xskatebakerrx on Mar 10, 2010 11:04 PM MST reply actions

I’m pretty sure that waiver rules and the 23 man roster limits don’t apply post trade deadline, as long as all of the players fit under the remaining salary cap. So, I don’t think that Porter would be taking either Durno’s or Stoa’s roster spot. But, I’d assume that if they’re calling him up, they’d like to try him out on their 4th line spot in the line up.

Oh I mean in tomorrow (well it’s almost today) against Florida.

How about Mcleod? he’s been sucking up a stom lately.

I bet he's got more trophies than the pope and Wayne Gretzky combined!

Holy Crap! According to Hockeys Future, Porter turns 24 tomorrow [Thursday]. Hell of a birthday present! Call up to the big league!

Thanks Joe...

Porter scored a heck of a SO goal in Sunday’s game against the Chicago Wolves. But this was a mighty fast call-up. Can’t wait to see what he brings

Well he does have 38 games of NHL experience. Maybe the Avs just want to see how/where/if he fits into the system and what he may/may not be able to add to the team.

If ORLY is due for a rest? Let’s face it, he hasn’t done much lately. And Yelle has at least been out there hitting folks.

Jibbles is an older man so you can trust what he says.
