DIRECTV DIRECTV and Comcast have reached an agreement to return VERSUS to the DIRECTV programming lineup today.
Off of Twitter. How nice that it'll kick into effect in time for the playoffs, it's unfortunate that it took them this long to return to showing the NHL games. For those that have missed games because of their dispute, enjoy!

I’m pretty sure this was all my doing. I made a cranky phone call the night of the AVS/Wings game. Then I gave them a scathing review in the ensuing customer service survey. I made it clear that the customer service guys were wonderful, but no amount of brilliant customer-servicing on their part could compensate for the fact that the asshats at DirecTV were leveraging my hockey fandom to try to get me to yell at VS to make sure their shareholder’s and executive’s rapacious appetites for profligate products continues to be sated and trying to make feel like they were fighting to keep my bill down “in these tough economic times.”
And I used some big words. After that, we researched DishNetwork and even called to clarify that VS would be in HD. Doubtlessly, they were monitoring my web surfing and tapping my phone and realized they were about to lose me as a customer and finally caved.
So enjoy your playoff coverage, but please remember, it was pretty much me who fixed it.

As if fixing the VS/DirecTV debacle wasn’t enough, I also fixed my own post. Time for a rest now.
Good news. I just installed my DirecTV over the weekend!
I just couldn’t take digital cable anymore. No hockey in HD. Unless it was on NBC…

Actually…now that I think about it…this whole fight between Versus and DirecTV started when I moved last summer and couldn’t get DirecTV. Man, this is sooooo all my doing.
Sorry I messed up most of the season for everyone. It won’t happen again!

This is great!
I actually had a form letter that I was about to post here. I even found the email address of the DirecTV CEO so that we could happily stuff his inbox with it. Now we get to see the best matchups of the playoffs and the first couple of games of the SCF.
It's all fun and games until someone blows up Detroit.
