Peter Mueller
Through the wonder of mathamatics: if Peter had been playing for the avalanche all this year at the pace he's on he would be leading the avs in scoring with 22 goals (23 if you round up) and 68 assists, pretty much putting everyone else on the team to shame.

a certain other player, I won’t mention any names but it rhymes with ‘Blow-tek Blow-ski’ (very mature I know) has 3 points in 5 games(.60ppg), is scoring less for phoenix then he did for colorado(.75ppg), but is right on his career average(.64ppg).
Steve Moore’s last act as a hockey player was beating Matt Cooke’s ass, which makes him a great great person.

I wonder what the Phoenix fans think of that. Has anyone been over to Five for Howling to find out?

Great trade.
I’ve been thrilled about this trade since I first heard the rumor from Bob Mckenzie. Before that trade rumor, I was hoping that Wolski would somehow get signed to an offer sheet this summer and we could get a draft pick or two.
But this is great! And it’s working out even better than I hoped. I’ve always been a Mueller supporter.

I should have waited until today, now he’s on pace for 129 points (*if he had played for the avalanche all year)

I think this says it all…confidence issue
“It’s funny like that, eh? I’m trying to make people eat their words of what they’ve said in the past,” said Mueller, after his two- goal, one-assist performance in Colorado’s 5-3 win over St. Louis on Tuesday night. “It’s amazing what happens when you get a chance, and Colorado gave me a chance. I wanted to come in here and prove that I can play in this league.”
And:
Mueller credits some of his turnaround to “feeling trusted” and “getting to play top minutes every night. A player like myself, you put out there, the more chances, the more confident you get. Colorado gave me that chance right from the get-go, and, what I can say, I’m very honored to put on that jersey every night.”

I still get worried about what happens if/when he struggles. Sacco has no bones about sitting someone, and what happens if he’s benched a game or something. Will he pout and play poorly?
It’s hard to say Tippett wasn’t giving him a chance early in the season, and it’s not like Tippett isn’t a good coach.
I guess i’m still worried about him.

I’m pleasantly surprised, for certain. I was never a DoW but did say something to the effect that I had wished they would have received more in return for him in the trade. For now, anyways, that statement is looking silly.
Jibbles is an older man so you can trust what he says.

I think one thing that may be different here than in Phx tho is that he won’t be the only one who’s had that happen. Liles, Stewie (sent down), Quincey, Wilson, Clark, Salei, Svats, etc will all be able to talk to him about it: why it’s happened, what he needs to do to change it around, how it feels, etc. And he has already seen it happen to vets so it’s not like he’ll think it’s “pick on the rookie” or anything.
