Wolski's New Home
Just took a look at the Phoenix depth chart, to see who Wolski would be paired with. Wolski aside, the top point earners on their team are : Shane Doan (47), Matthew Lombardi (42), Radim Vrbata (37), Scottie Upshall (32), Keith Yandle (30). These are the only guys with 30 points or more, but taking a look at this, it has me wondering-
Is it possible that Wolski will be centing a line in Phoenix?
Let me say right out that none of those guys are LWs. Doan, Lombardi, and Upshall are all RW. Lombardi is a C playing LW. And Yandle is a D. Next on the point list is Robert Lang who was centering their first line with Lombardi and Doan. Maybe the plan over there is to put The Baron on a line with Doan and create a real top line. But just throwing it out there, if you look down the middle of the Yotes, there isn't a lot to be scared of. And I wonder if that's where we'll see Wolski on Thursday.

I hope so
I like WW and would love to see him reach his potential somewhere – rather it be in a smurf unipron, but whatever. And I think he’d flourish back at the center poaition, on a new team. All those changes may pay off HUGE. If I were Phoenix’s GM (I left an application at the reception desk) I would throw him in at center now and roll the dice, see what happens. Worse case scenario, you slide him over to LW.
They just traded SO many people. For a team that’s been successful this year, I question the sheer amount of changes they made. It could be a chemistry killer this year.
At the same time, they stacked up on draft picks…which will put them in a nice place in the near future.
2009-10 Colorado Avalanche: The wheels are firmly secure thank you!
Advice to Red Wing Fans: If you don't want the reputation of being whiners, then stop whining about EVERYTHING. Your team is allowed to lose games, and when they do, it's not always because of the refs or Gary Bettman, and you seem to continuously claim
They have forwards?
Phoenix is strong in net. Any offense they get is gravy.
Acquired from Pensburgh for a first round pick and two comment posters to be named later.
exactly
They’ve be riding Bryz much this whole time. If they can get chemistry working by the playoffs, they’ll be a dark horse for sure

Ugh, I’m not gonna buy another Avalanche jersey ever again. It never fails, when I buy a jersey, it’s basically a guarantee that player will be traded within one calendar year. Why oh why didn’t I buy a Tucker?

i have the exact opposite problem, i’ve got a svats jersey, and apparently he’s a franchise player since they didn’t trade him.
maybe an internet pipe froze and burst
But did you win it or buy it?
Someone around here won a Svatos jersey, and that is different from buying one (even if you bought tickets for a raffle).

From now on, I’m only buying jerseys of players I like on other teams and hope they get traded here. Of course that never worked with Geoff Sanderson, Pavel Bure, Owen Nolan, Scott Stevens, Bryan McCabe, or Mike Peca. Now I’m afraid to get that USA Stastny I really want, but I think it’s ok as long as it’s not an Avalanche sweater.

Careful!
SoS is likely to revoke his US citizenship and revert to his ancestral Slovak roots!!!
2009-2010 Colorado Avalanche - On the upside, there's only 18 more (regular season) games of Darcy Tucker left!
Or play for Canada :)
