Well, so much for Invesco Field getting the 2011 Winter Classic. Not that there was ever really a chance at it happening though. It has been rumored that the NHL has asked the Steelers to reschedule some of it's games at the end of the season to accommodate the game. Apparently the owners for the Washington Nationals didn't want anything to do with the game because of the cost of repairing the damage that the rink caused to the field at Fenway Park. More signs pointing to the Capitals getting the nod for the annual game, the NHL has apparently already started printing Caps merchandise that found it's way onto eBay that was originally thought to be fake. That may not be so. As you can imagine the NHL is keeping very hush hush about all of this. Stay tuned for more.
