Post Trade Deadline Line Combos

So with the addition of Mueller and Yeller and not trading any D-men the AVs brass, well Coach Sacco will have some tough decisions to make from game to game and hopefully with the soon return of roadrunner and the Duke even more decisions. What are your opinions on line combos going forward anyone you don't think should be sent down?? Does the Duke return to the top line??

Duke - SoS - Stewie

Mueller - Dutchy - T.J.

Tucker - O'Reilly -Stoa/Svats

Cody Mac - Yeller - Hendricks

D-men

Footer - Liles

Quincey - Hannan

Wilson - Salei

I think that Duke will go back onto Dutchy’s wing, with either Ferris or Stoa flanking left. Furthermore, I expect Svatos to stay in the lineup more than Stoa, and the guy might be sent back down. Assuming I dont forget anyone:

Gally-Stats-Stewie
Mueller-Dutchy-Duke
Tucker-ORLY- Svatos
Highlander-Yeller-Hendricks

Stoa sent down, Durno scratched. I mean, we can always hope to have Tucker scratched and Durno on 4th with Cody Mac on third, but I don’t want to get too greedy.

Now, with the return of Yipper and Jonsey, things get reeeeally complicated. Especially on this side of the summer. Thats when you have to send Hendricks and Durno down, unless you do something crazy like waive Svatos. Really the top lines need to be shuffled with the reappearance of Jones in the lineup, because he is so explosive. I think I would really switch some things up at the end of the season / playoff run:

Duke-Stastny-Stewart
Mueller-Dutchy-Jones
Tucker-OReilly-Galliardi
McLeod-Yelle-Yip

Svatos on the bench, Hendricks and Durno sent down for the moment. If Mueller turns out to be terrible, put Gally back up there and Svatos on the 3rd.

Now for the glorious part: Next year, assuming Ferris is not a total bust, we don’t sign a stellar LW, sign Yeller to another 1 yr contract, and we do not resign Svatos or Tucker:

Duke-Stastny-Stewart
Mueller-Dutchy-Jones
Galliardi-OReilly-Yip
CodyMac-Yelle-Hendricks

with Durno, Stoa, and maybe Kevin Porter, Mercier, etc. Maybe even our first rounder this year. Who knows? Score!

Here’s the way things OUGHT to be tonight vs. PHX:

Gali – SoS – Stewie
Ferris – Dutchy – Duke
Highlander – Radar – Stoa
Durno – Yeller – Hendricks

Scratch – Svats, Shamwow

When you get Yip back (I don’t buy Jonesie coming back from the knee til next year. I had those twice and well… no.), things really start to get crowded. Next year is a crazy logjam with Svats and Tucker gone (and I hope Yeller back for one more year), but something like this:

Gali/Ferris/Jones – SoS – Stewie
Gali/Ferris/Jones – Dutchy – Duke
Gali/Ferris/Jones – Radar – Yip
Stoa/Highlander/Durno – Yeller/Hendricks – Stoa/Highlander/Durno/Hendricks

Porter, Mercier, Stoa, Durno, Hendricks as top list call ups, to speak nothing of any kids out of camp.
