Quick Notes on Porter
I was at the San Antonio-Houston AHL game last night (March 3) and got the chance to talk to a local who has pretty good hockey knowledge and he gave me the following report on Kevin Porter:
- Fans will like him.
- Fast, Hustles
- Hard working
- Will fit in Sacco's system
- The only knock on him so far in his career is that he's had trouble finishing.

Zing.
Forever grateful that Joe Sakic isn't a douche bag like Brett Favre.

Finish
can be tought. Hustle and hard work can’t. If the kid is willing to put in the hours, I’m sure he will flourish next year when he gets a legit chance to log some minutes. If Mueller puts in 6 goals and 5-15 assists to wrap up the season he has to be called a sucess too. Both players appear to be pumped to be out of Phoenix and into Prospect central. GO AVS!

Glad to be Gone
IN the in-game interview and the clip on AD’s blog, he did seem to be struggling to be polite about where he had been. Kinda’ thinking if he is given Wolski’s opportunities on PP and played on comparable lines, the low numbers will rise considerably.
i was going to say something to the effect of “so long as he doesn’t fall on his ass once a game I’m sold.” but you beat me to it.

I said it in the thread last night, but if the Avalanche were the Mighty Ducks……Tucker would be Averman. Useless on the ice but has some kind of morbid entertainment value.
Be glad you sailed for a better day, but don't forget there will be Hell to pay!
I liked Averman… he gave me fuel to annoy my father to no end. I would quote him endlessly when he wouldn’t let me do something I wanted. Worked too.

Bullets 1 through 4
Sounds like the anti-Hensick.
And with the 32nd pick in the 2009 NHL draft, the Red Wings select: Someone other than Ryan O'Reilly. LOL@Detoilet.
The only knock on him so far in his career is that he’s had trouble finishing.
See: David Jones (until this year)…dang I miss him
2009-10 Colorado Avalanche: The wheels are firmly secure thank you!
Advice to Red Wing Fans: If you don't want the reputation of being whiners, then stop whining about EVERYTHING. Your team is allowed to lose games, and when they do, it's not always because of the refs or Gary Bettman, and you seem to continuously claim
When you look up and down the phoenix roster you don’t see too many good passers, that could work in his favor here.

I predict
More turnovers than shots. Going out on a limb, I know.
