6 years later, some people still don't get it
Reading this garbage made my blood boil anew over the Bertuzzi assault on Moore. Actually, I responded to it in a different post on From the Rink. What a fricken tool.

And I don’t see, all bias aside, how Moore’s hit on Naslund was a cheap shot. That’s the first time I’ve seen that angle (the one from behind Moore) I think and it seems to me that Moore just keeps skating, doesn’t even throw his shoulder into Naslund. I am confused about that once again. (I get the “answer for the hit regardless of clean or not”…hockey code…but he did….Cooke…you all know this part so I’ll shut up…)

Excuse my french, but -fuck them. I don’t have the time or inclination to tell and idiot how stupid he is.

Bob, you’re so funny…answering my “I’m confused” post on From the Rink. Of course I know how YOU feel…and you know I am not REALLY confused…I’m just baiting for….oh fuck it. Call a spade a spade. I’m trolling. lol.

I can't even talk about this
watch any of this, or read anything about this without feeling that old fury. It’s amazing to me this man was allowed back in the NHL.
A little rudeness and disrespect can elevate a meaningless interaction to a battle of wills and add drama to an otherwise dull day.
The article itself, along with the defense is, and always will be deplorable.
2009-10 Colorado Avalanche: The wheels are firmly secure thank you!
Advice to Red Wing Fans: If you don't want the reputation of being whiners, then stop whining about EVERYTHING. Your team is allowed to lose games, and when they do, it's not always because of the refs or Gary Bettman, and you seem to continuously claim
HE SLIPPED ON HIS STICK????????????????????????????????

Man, we all came to terms with claude lemieux’s cheap chicken shit hit on someone who’s name I can’t remember on purpose, why do canuck fans still try to defend that POS?
I bet he's got more trophies than the pope and Wayne Gretzky combined!

I refuse to watch that video. It just makes me angry. You know how everyone has those “I remember where I was” moments in sports? Generally, they’re good recollections (like the Miracle on Ice, perhaps). I’d like to think that it was Matt Holliday sliding into home in the play in game in 2007 (I was there, though I don’t recall the section), but it is without a doubt this incident.
I can remember watching the game, the fact that it was on channel 20, the score, everything. I’ve seen things in sports and thought, “Wow, that was awful,” but never anything like this. It makes me want to puke and punch somebody all at once.
I hate the Red Wings.
If I met any of the 4 people most responsible for it
Meaning the four I listed above, face to face, I would still confront them about it. I’d ask them about their role in it. I’d ask them pointed questions about the details of how they contributed to it. And intentionally try to nail them to the wall on it. I wouldn’t be like most journalists and just volley softballs or totally avoid the issue. Screw them. Screw all 4 of them.
And with the 32nd pick in the 2009 NHL draft, the Red Wings select: Someone other than Ryan O'Reilly. LOL@Detoilet.

Oh yeah, did I mention how bad that article sucks? As I see it, he tries to cast Moore as the bad guy and Bertuzzi as a victim.
I tell people this. Despite what I believe about it, I’m even willing to concede that Moore’s hit on Naslund was “cheap” and “dirty”. Regardless, that does not give Bertuzzi any reason to do what he did. Todd Bertuzzi was not goaded into anything, he did not “make a mistake”, and he was not victimized or justified in any way.
I’m not one that is into generalizations as a rule, but ANYONE that says any differently has little hope for a future.
I hate the Red Wings.
I told a Red Wing fan about this a couple of months ago, one who’d never heard of it. It was one of those, “I never thought my hatred of the Wings could get worse but then they signed Bertuzzi.” “Why is that a big deal,” he asked. So I told him the story. He said to me, “That really happened? Fuck. He definitely shouldn’t be playing. I don’t think I like the Wings as much anymore. That’s wrong they even have him on their team.”

Hmm
I can’t read the article at work, but I have a good guess as to what it said:
“Moore was asking for it” (although he had already fought Matt Cooke earlier in the game)
“It was a freak accident”
“Nikolishin caused the damage by piling on”
“Moore ‘s condition isn’t that bad”
Did I miss any of the stupidity?

Jibblescribbits: C'mon over and waste some time
You forgot, “Moore was a marginal 3rd-4th line player, at best, so it wasn’t that bad.” I’ve heard that one a time or two, as if that means Bertuzzi is less deplorable for not doing it to Sakic.
I hate the Red Wings.
You also forgot the “it wasn’t any worse than what happened to Naslund”
