After watching the game last night, as much I want it to be true....the Avs don't have a chance after blowing a chance to go up 2-0 in the series.
My main reason for saying that is that it was clear that the Sharks did not come out at full speed in Game 1. The tip in off of Blake definitely woke the Sharks up because in Game 2 they bodied the Avs all over the ice, and sent a number of Avs to the bench or the locker room with their hits. The combination of Pavelski finishing off the Sharks late rally and the Sharks finishing their checks, they may have finished off the Avs.
Even if the Avs won Game 2, they would have limped into the Pepsi Can to try to hold on. Instead, the Avs return home nearly an entire line short as the Sharks, and specifically Blake, Murray, Clowe, and Nichol imposed their will on our Avs.
Hopefully heart is enough...because I don't think Nabokov will allow every other shot to score, and I don't expect Andy to survive 50+ shots again. And with a number of Avs banged up, and the Sharks having figured out how to break the trap...we're gonna have to hope the Avs can match the physicality or hope their hearts are REAL big!
I want to believe...but slowly but surely, the Avs lines are spending their time on the training table...and not on the ice.
