the hit on the intermission report. I was listening to the game on the Altitude Radio network via XM, not the same as watching. Mosher definitely gets into the games! LOL!!

A lot of penalties. Avs had good chances early, but Nabokov looks sharp. Duke injured is the biggest news, of course.
For the last Almost 8 minutes the Avs didn’t get a shot on net at the end of the first.

That play happened right in front of me, and I remember thinking, “Holy shit! Our new goalies a gangster. You’re telling me this guy couldn’t start in Florida?” Then I started an “An-der-son!” — chant that has since been correctly amended to “An-dy!” — and my whole section and eventually the entire Can joined along. It was the seminal moment in my Craig Anderson fandom.

My sn is misleading, I’m not really in the Air Force. I wanted to be a fighter pilot and go to the AFA growing up, and I was (and still am) a huge AFA football fan, so I mad that my sn in middle school, and I’ve been rolling with it ever since.
Ahh, well when you’re flying in formation and your wingman loses sight of you, the term is that you are ‘lost sight’ And no, I’m not a navigator, and no, I’m not in the air force. :-D

Officiating has been awful for 3 games.
Boyle’s own goal is karma vs. the refs. The hockey god are not pleased with the refs favoring San Jose.

The refs took away 2 goals from SJ Friday… I guess thats favoring SJ alright. I’m a Sharks fan, but I refuse to believe the officiating is skewed towards any team. I am in shock at this game, we own and still lose.

Took two goals away? one was never a goal, it never crossed the line, no replay ever showed it in the net….the other, the goalie interference may have been questionable. But the Shark player did not make any attempt to avoid Andy, knocked the puck out of his glove and hit him in the head as well…

The way we controlled the action from the opening faceoff, it was just a matter of time before we got the game winner.
There were large stretches Andy bailed the team out though. Like your optimism though.

Listen, I love the Avs as much as anyone and yes they did have some good plays, but they can’t control action when they spend 14 minutes in the box. This game was intense and frustrating, and I’m sure Sharks fans (even before OT) were frustrated that they couldn’t score.

When the penalties called are 18-11 int he series, that’s lopsided.
When you continue to have players injured and nothing called, including having guys lose teeth because of it.
When the officials are blocking your shots, knocking your players down, and literally in the way.
You have to question and complain about the officials. Intentional or not, when it happens three games in a row, it gets asinine.

You’re seriously saying that with all the penalties that were called today, they all came because of “chasing?” Odd since almost every time the Avs got the puck I saw similar moves that never got called.
I saw hits after icing that weren’t called on the Sharks, the one time the Avs did it, it extended a 2 minute PP.
I saw two too many men on penalties, only one was called. It was on the Avs. I don’t care if the Sharks one was a closer call, it was still too many men.
Every time the Avs got it into the Sharks zone a board or a trip on an Av seemed to occur, no calls to be seen.
Galiardi was gangraped by two sharks next to the bench though he didn’t initiate anything, no call.
Keep trying though, I can see your intellect is at LEAST that of a 4th grader with the “Sherlock” insult.

Brian Elliott got hooked in the crotch by Matt Cooke today
Prevented Elliott from being able to move laterally to stop a Crosby dangle that went in. I’m not saying he would have saved it even if he got there, but Cooke disrupted Elliott’s balance.
No call.
Also he boarded Peter Regin’s face right on the edge where the boards meet the glass and only got a two-minute minor. About 30 seconds later, Erik Karlsson tried to knock someone’s stick, and the other guy’s stick snapped in two. Karlsson gets a penalty. Cooke comes out of the box, dangles, passes to Crosby, hooks Elliott, and gets an assist.
I hate the refs today.

I know, but some people were saying the same time of thing here after the Blake/ Ferris hit. I was going to let that type of comment slide until emotions calmed down a bit for them.

McLellen just used the phrase: “It is what it is” when talking about the GW goal. I fucking hate that phrase. It took prominence with Bertuzz-douche when everyone was questioning him on his return to the NHL.

I know it makes sense—but say it out loud. You sound ridiculous. Each time you hear someone say “it is what it is” imagine instead that they’re saying “it’s what it’s” and then realize how much of a non-answer in any situation.
“So what do you think about that last game?”
“I think it was a game.”
