The Avs offense continues to sputter without Milan Hejduk and Peter Mueller.
The Avs offense has scored only 2 goals the last three games, and has looked pathetic for the last 3 games. Andy finally collapsed beneath the pressure, with the Avs playing most of the second period in game 4 in the Avs zone. Surprisingly Sharks rookie Logan Couture was the big scorer for the Sharks getting 2 goals, and Marleau finally got a goal.
The Avs need a serious gut check before game 6. Duchene and some of the younger Avs need to stop making excuses and get some goals. The Avs ought to at least make the games competitive since they are in the playoffs.
It could also be the Avs roster really lacks the offensive fire power to make it to the second round. Hopefully, the Avs can at least try to win game 6, and try to salvage some team pride.
