Never too Early to Think About Next Year

It's time to play GM. I found a list of potential free agents for the upcoming off-season. Here's a list of guys Colorado should probably look to sign. Factors included need, signablity and cost.

Andy Sutton - He's 35, but still one the league's best shot blockers, and he can throw a check or two every now and then. He'd be a good 2 year pickup to let some of the kids develop.

Milan Jurcina - Been out with a hernia, which could lower his value. If we deal Liles in the off-season (which I really hope DOESN'T happen), he's got a booming shot...could work on the power play. He could be a good pairing with Liles on the PP.

Zenon Konopka - Great face off guy, and he fights. Did I mention he's 29, cheap, and a good plug for 3rd and 4th line center problems?

Dennis Sidenberg - Can you really go wrong with a 150/150 guy?

Henrik Tallinder - We might have to throw some cash. However, he's been a quiet cog in the Sabers' D for a while. He can always put up solid numbers.

Adam Mair - What can a change of scenery do for a slumping career? Just ask Peter Mueller.

I think those are probably the best ideas for the Avs to work on getting in the off-season. We, honestly, do not have many needs. We need a shutdown D man, and a quality low line center. Everything else should start falling into place soon.
