Penguins lose Game 7 to Montreal 5-2.
Sidney Crosby set them on a downward spiral to start the game (literally within the first few seconds) with a penalty, and Smurf #1 Brian Gionta scored within 32 seconds.
Marc-Andre Fleury had a terrible night by allowing 4 goals on just 13 shots.
A lot of the credit for the win also has to go to Jaroslav Halak with a .949 save average. Gionta had a big game with 2 goals and Smurf #2 Michael Cammalleri added another 1.
The Penguins had a chance to get back in the game on a 4-3 powerplay at the start of the third period, but Halak stopped Crosby on what looked like a sure goal.
Evgeni "Neaderthal" Malkin and Crosby only had two goals the entire series. Cammalleri has had 12 total goals in the playoffs so far.
I really doubt the Habs will win the cup this year, but they've already had a great run beating the Capitals, and the Penguins.
Editor's Note: Short, to the point, great recap. Not enough snark, so I added the Smurf cracks... - Mike
