The Pittsburgh Penguins hopes to continue the road dominance against the Montreal Canadiens and take a 3-1 lead back to the Steel City. The Sharks of San Jose goes back to a less-than-capacity Joe Louis Arena with the intent to put their collective foot on the throat of the Detroit Red Wings and sweep the series.

When the avs were going through their attendence problems early in the season, the fans were called bandwagoners. What does it say about ‘hockeytown USA’s’ fans when they abandon ship before the series is over. Fuck detroit, Can we give them to canada?
Steve Moore’s last act as a hockey player was beating Matt Cooke’s ass, which makes him a great great person.

Only Red Wing fans can use the economy as an excuse as to why they don’t show up to the games. Every other team has “bandwagon” fans that don’t know or care about hockey.

It’s fun. I wore my Av’s Roy jersey and Habs fans were awesome. They bought me drinks and took me out bar hoping after the game. Some people give the Habs’ fans crap, but in my experience they were really really cool.

I enjoyed hanging around here when you guys were playing the Sharks, but I can’t stand idly by while you cheer for the Habs. For shame.

I don't understand the Crosby hate.
He’s maybe the best player in the world (although I’m not opening a debate), he’s never cocky in interviews, he plays a relatively clean game, he goes harder on every shift than almost any other player in the league (on the backcheck as well as the forecheck), and to be honest, I think that the criticism that he’s “whiney” is total baloney.
I’m not a Crosby fan per se, but I can’t understand why people cheer against him. I can’t cheer against Ovie for that matter, either. They’re both fantastic players to watch.

As you said, debatable. And I would disagree, I’m not going to vote for Mr. “Stand in front of the net, let Malkin do all the work”.
Clean game?
There’s a reason he’s got the nickname “Holy Diver.”
Harder on every shift than any other player in the league, I’ll give you… but I’d say there’s a LOT of players who play their hardest on every shift they take, Crysby is NOT alone in that category.
Not whiny?
I’m not going to respect a man who cried to the officials because he felt that the hats being thrown on the ice after an oppositions hat trick were ruining the flow of the game… and then has had nothing negative to say about it whenever HE’S scored a hat trick.

My only real problem is all the “Crosby’s the next Gretzky” everyone was saying, before he’d even pulled on the Penguins jersey. He’s a great player buyt he’s been shoved down our throats so much I think people are sick of the attention he gets moreso than him.

I read a lot of “the next Gretzky” crap before last years draft (the first one I really paid attention to) in regards to Tavares. I once read that one of the biggest similarities between Gretzky and Crosby is that they both started out in the NHL as whiners, haha.

What the fuck happened there? 7-1? Five goals in one freaking period? First the lump of excrement and then Franzen (my second most hated Winger) gets a hat trick in 4 minutes and ends the night with 6 points (and excrement ends with 5)?
And they had 15 penalties tonight, my god, I didn’t think they were even capable of drawing penalties!
Awful AWFUL night for hockey.

We just want to beat the Wings in front of our home fans?
Who knows, it wasn’t a good night, but it hardly hands the series to the Wings. We’ll see how the Sharks play in game 5. I imagine they’ll be a little angry after that beat down. Fun story, in 94 when we were just a young upstart club, we lost to the Wings 7-1 in game 6. We knocked out the president trophy winning Wings the next game.
But hey, why stop there. The year the Ducks won, they too got blown out by the Wings, 5-0 and went on to win it.
Last year the Pens got blown out 5-0 (I think in game 4 or 5) and went on to win that series. I don’t think this is any more heart breaking than how we lost game 3 to the Avs, probably a lot less heart breaking for the players, and they rebounded from that and played a good game.

Oh I never thought this night meant it was over for the Sharks. I absolutely expect them to take the series and I’m sure that loss is only going to fire them up when they’re back in San Jose on Saturday. That loss was just full of more wtf-ery than anything. I mean, Franzen what? Anyway I hate that guy and I loved watching Thorton get chippy with everyone at the end of the game, haha. It got about as bad as the Canucks/ Hawks game the other night!

They certainly made it fun to watch what should have been a nightmare of a game. I like that we amped up the physicality once we realized we couldn’t win on the score board.

It looks like the top two teams in the West are going to meet up for the Conference Finals.
We all know San Jose dispatched the Red Wings will little trouble. Well the Hawks just scored two goals in 26 seconds in the third period to increase their lead in the game to 5-1.
In the second period the Hawks ended a scoreless game when Brouwer and Versteeg scored 36 seconds apart . Then to make matters worse for the Nucks, Bolland would score short-handed with 45 seconds left in the period. Vancouver started the third period with good pressure and would get a goal 3:44 into the third period and looked to be gearing up for a comeback, that is until 20cent took advantage of yet another Nuck mistake to regain a 3 goal lead and then Byfuglien nailed the coffin shut 26 seconds later.
