Stewart (of the Chris kind) and Wayne Simmonds interview on THN
Pretty amazing what these two have gone through to get to where they are now. Who would've guessed that Chris Stewart had to live in a shelter for 3 years. I don't know about you guys but this interview made me appreciate this guy just a bit more. Outstanding.
Oh and this is my first time starting a 'thread' or 'fanpost/shot' so if it's in the wrong section it's because I'm a rookie!

That’s the link above (and my first mistake)
Wow, that was awesome.
Thanks for posting.

After watching the video, I sorta get the feeling that I want Chris Stewart’s contract alone to put us to the cap floor. Sounds like his parents and family sacrificed a lot for him and his brother. Awesome for them. My favorite part was when he talked about his friends getting kicked out of their homes and his parents would welcome them in to their already crowded home. Remarkable.

Am I the only one that is saddened by the fact that his Mom never got to see him realize the NHL…

Listening to this went a long way to explaining why the demotion to LEM last year had such an impact. The kid fought like hell to make the big show, relaxed and lost it. Damned sure he wasn’t going to let go if he got it again.

That is cool but you should never be friends with a guy on another team that you play. Those are my rules and I’m sticking to them.

Especially if you’ve been friends with him since you were kids and you were both fortunate enough to be drafted into the best league in the world and to play on your team’s top line.
Then it’s really bad. Thanks for keeping us on the straight & narrow Pinchy! ;)
