Durno signs w/ Tampa

The six-foot-four 205-pounder had four goals and eight points in 41 games with the Colorado Avalanche last season. He played 43 games with the Avs the previous two seasons.

Dang
Sandie

Well that sucks for us. Good for him.

Do not agree. Durno took too many awful penalties to be considered even an average 4th liner. Nice guy, but i’m not sad to see him leaving. Hendricks, otoh…

I thought that he was a good LEM top 6er / emergency callup player. He had a good stretch in which he potted a few goals and played well. Toward the end of the season, he started taking boneheaded penalties and really hurt himself and the team.

fair enough, he was ok as an emergency callup. I still think he was a below average 4th liner though.
True.
His primary value would have been in a trade to TOR orchestrated by Down Goes Brown. Truculence and a fleeting glimpse during a classic Leafs brawl? That’s gotta be worth at least a 1st & a 2nd (in 4,230 A.D. when they have their next picks, I mean.)

Durno wanted League Minimum
Way too much for E Stan. Buh Bye.

Detroit Sucks
He was only slightly less worthless than Koci. That said, he’s still not worth league minimum.

Last year marked the end of the Sakic era. Now we come to the end of the Durno era. I don’t know how much more of this I can take.
