Today in Colorado Avalanche History
Happy birthday to Colorado overlord Stan Kroenke. Kroenke owns the Avalanche, Nuggets and the Altitude sports network, to name a few key items in the portfolio. But it's his current attempt to purchase a majority stake in the St Louis Rams - a move that would seem to conflict with the NFL's cross-ownership policy - that has Avalanche fans biting their collective nails.
So, have a happy birthday Stan. Now please don't screw this up.

There once was a man named Enos,
Who treated hockey fans like his anus,
Many years after the Cup,
Was raised from high up,
It seemed like miles were between us.
Happy birthday Stan!
