Could Jagr have been an Av?
I know it is always interesting to follow the old Lindros trade and what came of it (and how the Avs are still reaping the benefit of it) but did anyone realize that an old prospect of Colorado's was traded straight up for Jagr? I'm sure a few might remember that Anson Carter was drafted by Quebec and was an Avs prospect during the earlier years in Colorado. Unfortunately he was traded for a 4th round pick (Storey) and later ended up being traded in 04 for Jagr... and not a washed up Jagr either. Would have been interesting to have seen him on the 04 team, or even the following "NHL" season when he scored 54 goals. Just a look into the past and what could have been.

Man, Jagr would look good in an Avs uniform right now. With the exception of the smackdown from Ovechkin, Jagr looked as in control on the ice as ever during the Olympics.

I have to agree with this.

The trade was Anson Carter for Jagr + his ri -god damn -diculous salary. I think Washington still had to pay part of his salary afterward even. Not sure we were in a place to take it? Never been a fan of Jagr anyway.
