Kirk McLean Hired As Goaltender Consultant
Terry Frei is reporting that the Colorado Avalanche have hired Kirk McLean to be their goalie consultant. McLean, who spent parts of 11 seasons with the Vancouver Canucks, replaces Jocelyn Thibault who left after last season. McLean might be a good mentor for the workhorse Craig Anderson as he once led the league in shots against and games played.
Like Thibault and Jeff Hackett before him, McLean will be another part-time coach as, according to Frei, he will only be with the team "periodically."

Now that is just crazy. Have they thrown all of their candles into the wind? Counted their ducks before they hatched? Got all of their chickens to line up in a row? Punched a gift horse in the mouth? Put all of their eggs under a burning bridge? Throw pearls in the baby’s bath water? Wash their dirty linen in an apple cart?

So now what’s Boods supposed to do?
Colorado Avalanche Offseason Strategy - Please wake us in October
Didn't you read the last line?
McLean is only there periodically, which my guess means he takes the goalie coach position for the few games that Boods is playing.
Dear Colorado Avalanche: Thank you for the excitement, see you in October.
Thats a sweet schedule then, he works likes 5 nights a year. I can do that, plus Boods will have to teach someone, maybe Andy, the correct technique for opening the bench door for those few nights he has other things to do that stop him taking his rightful seat on the bench

Why do you think they re-signed Koci? It can’t be because of his fighting skills.

For some reason I always remember him from NHL '94 on SEGA.
It always looked like he had an amazing mullet.

Of course, even when he was HOT he wasn’t near as good as St. Patty
They say the Avs look like smurfs when they wear these jerseys... I just don't see it.

Denver is not big enough for 2 Tebow's - one had to go.
Now Tim can play LW.
