WTF EKLUND!?
so just went over to hockeybuzz for the first time in some time (eklund's so called "rumors" were starting to annoy me) and started reading eklund new blog about the 50 most trade-able players. Number 13 was Tomas Fleischman. Number 24 was Peter Budaj. How does trading flash a guy we just got and who has developed great chemistry with Duchene making any logical sense? Maybe I don't have the same "hockey mind" as eklund or you guys but seriously huh?!

saw that too when I went to check on my fantasy team. my only reaction would be that it might entice the east coast teams that don’t know squat about anything west of the Mississippi that he might be availible since it runs counter to anything that the team is doing.

Actually...
It is possible. Not likely but possible. If they feel Flash won’t re-sign and they may/will miss the playoffs… He may bring a nice return due to the fact he’s done well playing with talent rather than playing behind talent. The Avs should just try and sign him now and if he doesn’t seem up for it… Move him at the deadline for a nice return whether the Avs are in the playoffs or not. We know they still have at least another year to grow and mature so the possible later first rounder (Langs got NJ a possible 2nd rounder) could turn into a really good prospect. That is only if it looks like Flash still wants to walk at seasons end.

Also making him more tradeable would the the return of stewie, and hopefully mueller. If we get those two back may create a “too many forwards” scenario. The addition of Flash was a reactionary trade made in order to make sure our offense doesn’t tank dramatically. Although keeping him in any case could make for some scary lines…
Mueller-SoS-Stewie
Flash-9-Duke
Gali-Radar-Jones
Interchangeable fourth line
Typing this out made me think…Can we really put Winnik on the fourth line? Yes Galiardi is more of a 3rd line type player, but now it seems as if we have an extra 2nd/3rd line player…however, I don’t see Mueller coming back this season…hopefully next year!

I'm more surprised by the Hejduk addition and the Foote omission
Hejduk has stated that he will end his career an Av.
If the Avs look to miss the playoffs, Foote may want one last hoorah for the cup and be willing to spend a few months elsewhere trying to win it… Plus it would give the Avs a solid return for a hopefully retiring player. He’s not Sakic so he doesn’t need to play his final game as an Av.

The number 1 rule about Eklund is....
Don’t ever believe Eklund. He has become absolutely untrustworthy. I’ve never heard anyone have anything good to say about the guy.
@G_Rees
you made that up…just like eklund does.
