I have heard the nicknames Dutchy, Ice, The Franchise and a few others from time to time when describing Avalanche all-star center Matt Duchene. But honestly... none of them (in my humble opinion) have the simple, yet catchiness of ones like Captain Joe, or Foppa. So perhaps you may like this idea I have for Matt Duchenes new nickname; if not I would love to see some of your ideas as well!
My idea for Matt Duchene's new nickname:
THE FLYING DUTCHMAN
-We already have David "Davy" Jones (And im pretty sure he has a locker.)
Plus if Duchene ever becomes the captain we can say to all new trade acquisitions/rookies/FA's...."Part of the Ship, Part of the Crew" to quote "Pirates of the Carribean".
