So, since I am only an observer of hockey - I have cerebral palsy which limits my ability to play actual sports, and try as I might I've never been able to roller skate or rollerblade, let alone ice skate. However, this limitation does not have any effect on my ability to enjoy watching quality athletes play the best sport in the world. With that in mind, I have a question, after the jump, for all actual hockey players.
I read several hockey blogs, chief among them MHH and PD. This morning, a read a story about UFA flops (here) and one of the flops listed is Mr. Ville Leino of the Sabers. I've always liked him, so I try to pay attention to how he's playing. As the article mentions, his stats this year in Buffalo aren't what's expected of him. The author mentions that this could be due to to the fact that he's changed from the wing to center.
Now, to get to my question: Why does this have an effect? Wouldn't proper linemates with whom Leino has chemistry be able to fix that problem?
