After much hand-wringing and pacing, we finally know the disciplinary results of a nasty hit to the head Andy Sutton gave Gabriel Landeskog in the October 28, 2011, game between the Avalanche and Edmonton Oilers. Here's the official video explanation given by Brendan Shanahan, outlining how the decision to suspend Sutton for 5 games was made:
