In his post game blog (here), our pal Mr. Dater mentions the fire that Roy had when a game didn't go perfectly according to plan - though they still won.
I've watched every game this year, and I don't see that fire - that jump - from anyone consistently, with the exception of Ryan O'Reilly. Stastny and Jones in particular are neigh on invisible night in and night out.
I want a coach with the competitive spirit, the fire, to make his guys go out there night in and night out to WIN. My question to you all is, would someone like Roy provide that, or are we just asking for trouble? I mean, don't get me wrong, I like Sacco more than Quenneville or Tony Granato for sure - but maybe it's time for something different?
But, here I go arguing with myself. Roy isn't different is he? He's still technically building from within, right? Or would you view him like a Dale Hunter, coming in as a past legend to help restore his former club to glory?
