The best young line in the NHL
I know that some of you on this site are not real big on advanced statistics, but this is an excellent breakdown, and it says a lot of really good things about Landeskog.

C&B seem really impressed with Landy
I’d like to see him produce a little bit more. He needs to get back to the front of the net. It seems like he has been afraid to do so after he has gotten called for goaltender interference a couple times. Please go back to the dirty areas, no one else does.
Good gracious.
I blew up that little chart. Lindstrom, despite having one of the highest percentages of OZone starts, had one of the worst Corsi ratings on the team. That’s terrible, son. Have fun in Sweden.
At exactly what point do you start to realize that life without knowledge is death in disguise?
I love that chart. I’ll have to figure out how to replicate that more often.

He also advocated reuniting the W O L line. He obviously doesn’t know about David Jones’s superiority and that Winnik was dragging down that line. He needs to stop by over here more often to brush up on his hockey knowledge.
I’d still call it the O.W.L. line before the W.O.L. line…unless you pronounce it like “Wall”. I’m sure some opponents have felt like they hit a wall facing off against them.
Datsyuk may have done it first, but he learned it from Peter Forsberg.
Thanks for everything Foppa!

Fun Facts:
Ryan O’Reilly leads the league in takeaways with 39 right now. But as we all know, this doesn’t matter because Datsyuk did it first.
Landy and Dutchy are also in the top 30 with 23 and 22 takeaways respectively. Our dear little rook also has 77 hits (#21 in the league) and 91 shots (#26 in the league). I like our Diaper Dandy. Now if he’d just put it in the back of the net….
In the meantime, Adam Larsson has 24 giveaways, #28 in the league.

Varly: you're awesome. We love you. Please don't break.
Nice tidbits.
This says to me that the young guns are out there working hard and winning battles. They are not a bunch of Stastnys in other words. Landeskog’s efforts have impressed me especially, given that he only has ~25 games of NHL experience and has played primarily 3rd line minutes.
The goals will come. With experience Landy will learn how to drive the net, stick down, park his ass in the goalie’s face, and pot those garbage goals we so desperately lack.
