The Return of Quincey, Jones and Some Others

Stay connected for news and updates

The Avalanche finally lost a game on Tuesday, so now coach Joe Sacco is free to make some roster changes. Per Mike Chambers, Kyle Quincey (groin) will return to the lineup on Thursday against the Coyotes. Presumably, BMF will be extra MFB after being a healthy scratch for the last few games. Chuck Kobasew is expected to return as well, bumping Brad Malone to the press box; Kobasew last played on December 9th.

Meanwhile, David Jones (groin), Peter Mueller (head) and Ryan Wilson (Lapierre) are all practicing in full contact jerseys. There's no timetable for their return, but all could be back "soon".

Semyon Varlamov will be in net against Phoenix. Not sure that I like this move to be honest. I would have liked to see Sacco show a little more faith in Giguere by going back to him after what was really his first bad outing of the year. How do you see it, MHHers? Agree? Disagree?
