I don't see the Avs picking 1st overall and with Edmonton (and now Ottawa) needing a center there is a good chance that Gabriel Landeskog may still be on the board when the Avs draft. The top 4 are comprised of Landeskog, Couturier, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, and Adam Larsson in a continually rotating/shifting order. Couturier is a 6-4 center who draws comparisons to Staal. RNH is a small 5-10 center who could be another Sam Gagner or much more. Larsson has drawn comparisons to Lidstrom in style but if he was "another" Lidstrom he would go first overall. And finally we have Landeskog the winger. Comparisons to Iginla have been mentioned due to Landeskog openly stating he models his game after Iginla. He's a power forward with skill who plays with a passion and drive that has even brought the name of some Forsberg guy into the conversation. With the luck the Avs had with Duchene being drafted after Sakic's retirement... wouldn't it be interesting to "go swedish" with this year's pick?
