A crazy game happened in the Manitoba Juniors

A total of 86 games in suspensions, and a $4,000 worth of fines, were handed out by the Manitoba Junior Hockey League Wednesday stemming from a playoff game between the Swan Valley Stampeders and Portage Terriers on Saturday.

No surprises Eric Lindros wants the NHL to look into the concussions that are plagueing the league.

Like most hockey fanatics these days, Eric Lindros is concerned about the concussion quandary that has infested the NHL this season.

People are surprised at how hard and fast the Avalanche have fallen. There are some quotes by Vancouver players as well.

On the shortest day of the year, Dec. 21, the Avalanche was tied with the Canucks for first place in the Northwest Division. To understand how long have been the nights since then, Colorado went into Wednesday's game trailing by 41 points.

That doesn't sound possible.

Adrian Dater is reporting what most of us are assuming: Adam Foote will likely retire this summer. He's already lined up a day job next year.

Foote has signed on to become the coach of the Colorado Thunderbirds' under-13 team for the 2011-12 season, according to the team's website. Continuing an NHL career and coaching the Thunderbirds youth team at the same time would be virtually impossible.

In other news, the autoplay video on the DP's website is really, really annoying.
