Matt Cooke at it again. Hopefully this shuts him down at least for the rest of this year. This is a blatant elbow to the head.

I have to think he gets at least 10. Wouldn’t surprise me if he got 15-20, just because of how he got his elbow up. His elbow came way up to hit him.
I never liked Matt Cooke, even going back to his Vancouver days. I’ll be interested what Ray Shero and Mario Lemeiux say about this. If they condemn it or if they remain silent.

He can’t get enough of a suspension to satisfy me, and if Mario doesn’t take a stand against his own player (you know, because he can…) then he is a hypocritical bastard.

I think that justice would be for Cooke to be suspended for the rest of the season and playoffs and for Pittsburgh to then waive him.
If his suspension isn’t that long (which it won’t be, I’m sure) there is no way Pitt would waive him. There’s too big of a chance of it biting them in the ass in the playoffs.
Any team that picked him up in this scenario would become my third least favorite team btw.

I went and checked out Pensburgh yesterday. Some of them were saying throw the book to teach him a lesson, some were saying, “I’m so sick of him”, some were saying it should be less than Gillies. The consensus seemed to be 5-6 games. I didn’t comment, but my thinking was, seriously, only 5 or 6? This clown should be banished to Europe.
I'm just like everyone else, only way better.
