I just got off of the phone with an Avalanche season ticket representative. Very nice woman, by the way. I called to verify that the Avs had received my renewal form, faxed on February 28th, because usually I would have at least received an acknowledement card or something in the mail by now. I was told that it was received and that I was good to go.
So, never content with saying "thank you and have a great day," I decided to pry for a little bit of information from the nice young lady on the other end of the line. I asked her how the renewals looked for next year, asking if she could give me a rough percentage. Hesitantly, she said something general like, "It's been OK, they're slowly trickling in." Which was odd, since the renewals were due on February 28th. So I made a comment like, "not surprising, given the product currently on the ice." To which she finally broke down and said, "Well, you're one of the few die hards, let's put it that way."
We ended the call joking about the need for a goaltender, having an owner who cares, and longing for the good old days. Just thought I'd share.
Cool story bro.
