Let’s hope the Avs don’t try to low ball him because of the clotting issues. He was perfect with Duchene. If the Avs can go into next season with Duchene, Stastny, Hejduk, Flash, Jones and either Hishon or Mueller in their top 6… They will be doing really well. Now just need to get the backend straightened out.

Dump the dead weight of Foote/Cumiskey/Hunwick and sign a goalie or a defensemen and we’re a playoff team as long as this team doesn’t wet the bed like this year.

I would think they would have to low-ball him to a certain degree. I imagine he’ll get about what he’s making now on a 1 year deal. Makes sense to me, because of the risk

I’m not surprised. It’s not like he’s the first athlete – nor hockey player – to have continued with his career with something like this. I didn’t expect the news this soon, however. Very awesome bright spot to an otherwise dreary part of Avs history.
