I vow...

Hey guys, long time listener, first time poster. I would have commented during the season but I have been having trouble logging on here. Anywhos, I have no idea what I am doing or what the hell a jump is so I suppose I can jump here?

Anyways, I just read the final recap over at Copper and Blue and I am absolutely disgusted by what I have seen there.

A little back ground... I live in Michigan. The only sports we have have here worth watching is the Red Wings, and the only reason that is worth watching is because four times a year (lately) they play Colorado, and its hockey... Needless to say I am used to being around losing teams. It has always bugged me the amount of Lions fans who claimed fanhood but then constantly bitched about their team. I vow not to be like them.

I approached this season a bit differently then most, I think. I celebrated every face-off win. Every shot on goal. I mean after last season winning face-offs for once was an exciting thing for me.

I do not know quite what my point is... I guess I just do not want to come over here one day and see what I did in the Oilers recap. I know this was a rough season, believe me, I know. (My wife does too... Not a hockey fan but defiantly knows who Shattenkirk and Stewie are...)

So I vow to celebrate the little things. I vow to embrace every hit and shot on goal as if it were a win. I vow to pass out from shock then wake up to go on a complete bender when the Aves sign a real goalie. I vow to wear a jersey every game day no matter how much I dread another lose. I vow to put the jerseys my wife made for my geckos on them at least once a week no matter how much trouble it is to get them on those squiggly cuties.

Most importanly I vow to NEVER hate the Avs! Because I could be worse... We could not be hockey fans.

GO AVS!
