Daily Cupcakes: April 14th, 2011
Today's Cupcakes are all about beloved Ex-Avalanche members.
A story about Lappy. With audio! Ian Laperriere talks about the concussion.
Laperriere: We were raised since we were little boys to suck it up and play through it… and I know it’s my brain. I’m not stupid. I know it’s more important than a knee. But at the end of the day, you don’t see the difference. You’re just sucking it up. If you see a kid get his bell wrung or anything like that, take him out of the game. You don’t ask him, because as athletes you’re used to saying "I’m OK."
Matt Hendricks is a tough player and he's got Cody McLeod to thank.
"What’s it going to take?" he wondered aloud to his former Colorado teammate, Cody McLeod, during a golf outing last summer.
Many months later, Hendricks still remembers McLeod’s answer: "Matt, you’ve got to start fighting more."
And Wojtek Wolski has some pressure.
Players like Artem Anisimov, Derek Stepan and Wojtek Wolski play well for a few games and then go into extended droughts. The Rangers will have to win a lot of low scoring games but who will get them the two or three goals they need to win?

Did Wolski score for the Rangers yesterday? I guess I could find this out myself easily enough. Nope. Too Lazy. SHould probably stop this stream of conciousness typing. Should probably delete this too. Nope. lazy. post!
FUck the red wings, indeed.
No, but he had an assist.
Americanario makes Journey reference. Tempestuous Binary listens to Don't Stop Believing. Milan Hejduk scores goal. You know what must be done. DSB Record: 1-3-0
"God I'm excited for those two to fail miserably." - SBNation writer Andrew Sharp on Josh McDaniels and Tim Tebow.
The Number Zero, probably tastes like chicken.

Your randomness is the correct randomness.

Remember the goal Ozolinsh had? He was in front or behind the net for about 5 minutes. That might also explain why he wasn’t exactly a defensive defenseman.
Each of my replies is a work of art, each more brilliant than the last.

The Caps fans I know love Hendricks to death. He’s found a pretty good home over there.
I make music. I don't think it's despicable, do you?
