We all knew that it couldn't last forever. Unfortunately for the Avalanche and their fans, the day has finally come where "Footer" will officially announce his retirement from the NHL. The announcement will come during a press conference at the Pepsi Center tomorrow at 11am. According to Dater and his sources, he may still be able to play this weekend, but that's not for sure yet.
After Foote, the only player left from the Avs "Stanley Cup Glory Days" will be Milan Hejduk. I'm praying that it will be at least another 2-3 years before I have to post a story like this about him. From all of us at MHH, happy retirement and thanks for all the memories Footer!
