Return of the Duke

Milan Hejduk re-singed today with his one and only NHL team for one more season at a reported $2.6 million. With incentives, the deal could hit 3 million. ~ Denver Post reports

Hejduk enjoyed a great first half of the 2010-2011 season before injuries caught up with him. Despite his reputation as responsible defensively, Hejduk led the Avs with the worst +/- on the team at -23. Despite that ugly number, the Avs need his veteran presence on the team - and he is the last link to the glory days and is a nice reminder to the young guys and the fans of better days.

It is possible age is catching up with the timeless Duke, but no matter, here's to a 12th 20-goal season Milan!
