May 25th NHL Eastern Conference Final Open Thread

The Bruins roll into Tampa Bay tonight to find the 'Ning Back In Black after Tampa dropped Game 6.  The Lightning hope to leave Boston Thunderstruck and force a Game 7 near some Dirty Water.  The Bruins want to put a fork in Tampa Bay so that they can roll out some new commercials since this round didn't go so well.

If I were Vancouver I would not want to play Boston. I think Vancouver could run and gun over Tampa.

I know almost everyone on this board at least is rooting for Tampa. I am rooting for Boston simply because I LOVE Tim Thomas

But if Tampa got by them, I wouldn’t be broken up about it. I just hope whoever wins in the East beat Vancouver. That should be good enough for everyone…right?

Tampa became my team when I lived in FL and it was damn near impossible to catch the Avs. That being said, I really ought to be cheering for Boston this series. Why? B/c I hate Vancouver right now a lot more than the difference between my affections for TB over Boston. Here is a diagram to help illustrate.

Hard to believe SJ was 13.2 sec away from winning that game….

Alright this has been pissing me off

The whole “the Canucks clinched on the exact same day 14 years ago” thing is annoying. Both clearly had to be in the 3rd round. Based on the schedule there was a 1 in 14 shot that it would happen. If they won in 5 games this year.
Then take into the fact that each conference finals was alternating so really the odds aren’t that crazy.

My favorite part was when Ohlund was too busy cross-checking Chara to play defense against the pass.

Ice score to make it 2-1
Damn that was a nice goal. Rebound went out and the Ice player kicked it to his stick before just sliding it by the Attack goalie.

OS lost 7-3. They gave up 2 freaking SH goals. Losing both Hishon and Wilson was just too much. And why in the hell did they play Stajcer instead of Binnington
