Red Line report looks at top 10 D. Klefbom?

One of my favorite scouting services does a semi-regular update at USA Today. They talk about the top 10 D for the upcoming draft. Good read. I've read a lot about taking Seimens at 11. Red Line likes him as the 7th best behind other D like Klefbom, Musil and Beaulieu. They are really high on Klefbom and he's likely to be available at 11.

Granted, I don’t follow the draft class that closely (it’s all “as if” anyway, how am I supposed to say if a player is the next Crosby or Daigle when even NHL scouts can’t?) but Siemens, like Oleksiak, seems to be a guy who’s terribly overvalued here at MHH. They seem to be guys you’d draft if they’re still available in the 2nd round (if we had a pick), not the 11th overall.

Thanks. I’ve said this once or twice here before, but I really think Siemens at 11 would be a big mistake. Luckily, Pracey is pretty smart, and I don’t think there’s any chance the Avs will grab him there.

I like Siemens, but he doesn’t fit the Avs’ mold at all. not enough skill.

Like the idea of O.K. At 11

If one of the top 8 don’t fall to the Avs and they nab a forward at 2. Otherwise they will be jammed with Ds and lacking in any real top line talent at forward
