They have the Avs taking Landeskog at 2 and Klefbom at 11. Exactly like The Hockey News.

How Swede it is?

I don’t think the avs will let character trump skill here. I’d now be shocked if they take Landeskog here, Larsson or Huberdeau.

Available for a 3rd round pick.

Yeah, I agree. For #2, we’ll end up with RNH, Larsson or Huberdeau. Some of these mock drafts have been ridiculous because they’re picking it based on assumed team needs, but most teams draft BPA. And with Sherman confirming that recently, Landeskog doesn’t seem to be a candidate for #2. It will be interesting to see if Florida takes him, but I think the chances are very high that they’ll pass as well.

It would get interesting when it gets down to Landeskog and Couturier as the BPA which should happen at NJD/NYI picks

the only way to do mock drafts that people want to read is to do them based on need. if you project the Avs based on that, Landeskog is a perfect fit.

Not saying he won’t be the guy, but the reasoning isn’t good.

I think the Klefbom selection is also need-focused. Not saying he may not be the BPA, but it looks like they mocked this out of need.

Not at all. He is actually a very strong candidate as a top 15 pick.

Languishing for Landeskog

What the hell happened to Bartschi, at #20?

Having said that, this draft reads too much like what team x needs = what they will choose, which isn’t a good approximation to how they actually want.
