Duncan Siemens - The 17 year old Prospect

5

The Avs had a pretty good first round. They made safe picks that carry extremely high upside. Lets hope Landeskog makes for a great winger in the future, as we all know he is fully capable. As for Siemens, to say the least, he could become a very high end, top-pairing defensemen. He's still only 17 years of age and doesn't turn 18 until September, just eight days before the draft eligibility deadline. With how big he is now, I can't imagine what another year would do to him. He's already 6'4 and 197 lbs. For Day 2 of the draft there are still some interesting prospects available. It may not be likely, but don't be surprised to see the Avs make a deal to get back into the 2nd or 3rd rounds.
