Advertisements are part of our everyday lives now in our sweet new digital age. My complaint of the day isn't just ads but ads on the nhl.com mobile site. They have made their site unbelievably un-enjoyable to visit. I typically work week nights as I am a student at my lovely local csuniversity, so I oft use my mobile device to keep me updated on the Avalanche or else I would go absolutely bonkers. The problem is that EVERY SINGLE TIME you either click to go to a new page or even refresh the game score, a glaring advertisement that literally fills up the entire space of the screen pops up in your face.
You have two options at this point, as you fill with anger and rage wondering "why the hell am I looking at an ad for a completely unrelated hockey show called 'Dexter' that I am sure is completely awful just by the looks of it ???!?!??!WTF??!?!" First, you can either click the unimaginably small 'x' at the top right corner (or try to, I mean come on, Im 6'4'', my fingers dont fit on this shit!) or wait a good 5-34 seconds and let it close by itself. By that time, a new play has already happened and I could have refreshed again and "seen" what has happened.
While I'm sure all of you are ready to jump on nhl.com and click the stupid-ass 'contact-us' button to complain, I have already taken the liberty to do so. To say the least, if they don't fix this insurmountable error, hell will be paid (here I come Sportstap! Even though you are a good 5 minutes behind actual game time, I see you to be the next best option as I despise Espn)
That will do it from Ft. Collins tonight (morning?) ....Stay Classy MileHighHockey
