This class move has SuperJoe’s fingerprints all over it.
The organ-I-zation looks to be getting progressively less tone deaf with every day he’s in the head office.

2011-2012 Colorado Avalanche: The possibility exists that this may not suck.
I was just imagining the phone call between Sherman and Forsberg, discussing this on an already important night, and it didn’t feel right.
I totally forgot that Joe was doing this type of thing now. And it all makes sense.
Thanks, Joe... Thanks, Peter.... Thanks, Adam....
And I’m sure Forsberg was all for it.

Yes, I’m sure he would be. I’ll be bawling from home, I’m sure.

Pretty sure that how long Sakic night was…didn’t seem long though.
Datsyuk may have done it first, but he learned it from Peter Forsberg.
Thanks for everything Foppa!

Went by super fast.
Forever grateful that Joe Sakic isn't a raging dick hole like Brett Favre.

So there will still be a Forsberg deal? That’ll be weird.

I don't understand the purpose of the line, "I don't need to drink
to have fun." Great, no one does. But why start a fire with flint and
sticks when they've invented the lighter?
I wouldn’t be totally shocked if they pushed his night back one game.

No disrespect to any of the boys being memorialized, but as a fan who bought plane tix to fly in for Forsberg, I would be a little annoyed by that.

There’s no way they’re going to change it now. They’ll find some way to make both work.

Uh
I would be. They’ve spent all summer pimping their 14 game packs and Foppa night for free opening night and opening night in general.
A little rudeness and disrespect can elevate a meaningless interaction to a battle of wills and add drama to an otherwise dull day.

Yeah. They can’t really change Foppa night. But it’ll be a weird down note to start out with.

I wondered yesterday if they would do something on Opening night considering it’s supposed to be a “celebration”.
It’s going to a night of very mixed emotions.
