Since Cheryl wrote a lovely article on superstitions, I figured I would share this article with everyone. Beware: Bleacher Report article, but some of the superstitions are really interesting.

I remember an Air Force goalie from about 5-10 years back (something like that) used to flip the puck from his glove to the outside like Ranford did. If nothing else I thought it was cool. His way of flipping the puck up and juggling it the way skaters do.
Also, I wouldn’t consider the playoff beard thing a superstition. If anything it’s a tradition, which is entirely different. Kids don’t leave milk and cookies out for Santa because they’re superstitious that if they didn’t he’d forget about them, they do it because their parents and all the stories talk about it.
Now, if the kids started demanding that the 3 cookies have exactly 15 chocolate chips in them because the one time they did they got the Red Ryder BB Gun, well, yes, that would be a superstition.
Finally, for anyone who comes across (most) slideshow websites
1. Go to this website (http://deslide.clusterfake.net/)
2. Drag the bookmarklet (the blue-linked word “deslide”) to the tool-bar of your browser
3. Whenever you come to the start of a slideshow on a site like bleacher report, click that bookmarklet
4. Voila! A new tab/window should open that contains the contents of the slideshow one one, easy, scroll-able page!
(For example, this is: what mine looked like)
I'm such a huge fan of the Avs I can name who our goalie was FOUR seasons ago! Crazy, right?!

Naturally, being one of the—if not THE—best goalies of all time, Patrick Roy is an odd man.
Someone’s had too much Sunnyside lately.
Just a Colorado girl in Montana who ♥s the Avs and writes for Mile High Hockey.
