That’s not true, when Enos is done trying to make this as cheap of a sale as possible, the Avalanche will return to Quebec and thus be thrust into the spotlight with a Winter Classic.
Paul Stastny did, what Paul Stastny does. Score big goals.
What Enos is doing now is actually increasing the value of the franchise. Good YOUNG core, low payroll, decent non-playoff fan interest, modern facility (TinyTron not withstanding).
They also have this 30-some year agreement with the City of Denver on the funding of the Pepsi Center with tax dollars that will keep them in Denver for a while. No one’s going back to Quebec.
