Chicks and their Polls: What Would Landy Do?
Guys for the All Stars are dropping like flies due to injuries, but so far, Gabriel Landeskog is still the only Avalanche player going. He'll be participating in the skills competition—in case you haven't heard. Here are the events:
* Bridgestone NHL Fastest Skater
* Allstate Insurance NHL Breakaway Challenge
* Canadian Tire NHL Accuracy Shooting
* G Series NHL Skills Challenge Relay
* BlackBerry NHL Hardest Shot
* Tim Hortons NHL Elimination Shootout
For a full description of which event entails, visit the NHL.com article which goes over each one. You can also learn about the rules and such here.
Okay, so now that you know which is what and where and how, which event do you think Landeskog will choose?

*looks for grinder option*
hmm…
A little rudeness and disrespect can elevate a meaningless interaction to a battle of wills and add drama to an otherwise dull day.

I think he’ll participate in the getting hit hard by a big guy, getting up, and crunching the big guy into the boards hard enough to shut up the enemy crowd competition

Fellow Avs were making suggestions on twitter:
“Battle on the boards competition”.
Galiardi suggested “Best at goaltender interference”.
Galiardi is so funny.

I don’t see the “Finishing a check” or “Goaltender Interference” competitions up there. Winnik and Gali would be disappointed.

Oh, and to answer the title, he’d kick an ass or two, that’s what Landeskog would do.

As Duchene is injured, Landeskog generously offered to fill in.

Giggy on starting (from DP)
“You’re only as good as your last game,” he said, adding: “There’s probably five guys in this league that can say they’re the No. 1 guy no matter what. Everybody else has to fight for ice time and try to earn everything they get. I’m in that situation, just as much as Varly and a bunch of other guys.”
Uh…only 5 no matter what? A little generous Giggy
