Avs showed interests in Derek Roy

According to The Fourth Period the Avalanche showed reported interests in Derek Roy from Buffalo. They did not show any interests in Semin, Prospal, Ruutu or Hemsky. Toronto and Florida would like to claim Stastny.

The Derek Rioy rumor was linked to Stastny. It either started, or became, an Eklund rumor. There is no doubt that both Florida and Toronto want Stastny and unless Schenn and Grabovski are coming back the other way, Stastny is going no where near Toronto.

If Roy could be had for a cheaper price, then sure, but since we’ve heard of it, that means it will not happen.

Or we are going to have to hear it a lot more. How many times did we hear rumors of Liles going to Toronto before it finally happened?

Datsyuk may have done it first, but he learned it from Peter Forsberg.

Because that one was obvious. Trade Kaberle, okay we need a PMD, who has a glut of PMDs? Who’s the older PMD with a ton of super-promising young ones in the pipeline?

i think it shows at least that the avs won´t pull any superstar deals, but try to bring consistent scoring depht into the organisation. It´doesn´t have to be Roy and i think it won´t be Semin, but it´s a sign that someone will join at the trade deadline.

Derek Roy is exactly what they have been drafting and trading for. Unfortunately he has had some serious ongoing injury issues to be worth trading much for. Otherwise it would be nice to add another hardworking never-say-die to go with the Radar, Landeskog, etc
